Originally used as a hygiene device to wipe ones hands or nose on, and kept in a man’s pocket, it was used for practical reasons for a surprising number of reasons, such as a medical bandage, to carry coins, protect the head from sunburn, to carry hot plates and to, well the obvious nose blow.
Pocket squares were initially worn in a man’s suit jacket as early at the turn of the 20th century, but have really risen to prominence on the back of influential shows such as Mad Men, where Don Draper was regularly spotted wearing his pocket square in a Presidential fold, but there are a huge range of other fold styles that require varying arrays of origami skills. Our pocket squares are of the highest quality, and are available to match many of our other formal accessories, or are available as standalone fashion statements. A pocket square make a lot of difference, but you don’t have to spend a lot of money to achieve this.
